Staying in the vein of madness after last week's short film, this song is called "Certifiable".
I had originally created this for a concept album I made 8 years ago. I always liked the idea and the musical themes in it, but the way I had produced it the first time around didn't do the concept justice.
So I remixed it, brought in some more powerful percussion, deleted the lyrics and vocals, and smoothed out some of the sounds to create this new version.

This song tells a similar story of insanity to the one told in "Wraith" last week, but this one has a happy ending:
The story I imagine when listening to this song is about a young woman living in an oppressive condition within her family. They are extremely poor, her father is abusive, and her mother suffers from bipolar disorder. Even within the confines of her own home, she is surrounded by insanity.
As the song progresses, there are more and more stresses placed on her life as the synths stack into a cacophonous breaking point where she can't take it anymore. So she steals the car and runs away.
Once she has broken from her family, she is driving alone in the country side, but at least her real world demons have been extricated.
As she drives down the road, the sun sets beautifully as she embraces the possibilities of her new found freedom.
